About Us

Hi, My name is Debbie and I am 49 years old, the mother of four;  three boys and one girl, an RN with ICU and ER backgrounds, born in La Junta, Colorado the oldest of five kids, three girls and two boys. I moved to Texas when I was nine years old.
My mother died in a car accident when I was 17 and my father died from Leukemia when I was 49. I have been married and divorced twice.

   This is me
I have learned a lot in 50 years and am still evolving and and learning and  hope to continue doing so for many more years.

This Kyle, my oldest, 28 years old now.  He works at a machine shop building some kind of metal parts and he can fix your computer if it breaks down or build you a new one from scratch, whichever you prefer.

Next is Travis.  He's 18 years old now and taking college course to become a basic EMT.  He's talking very seriously about joining the military, primarily the Marines.

Then there's Jacob.  He's 16 years old and in the 10th grade.  He played football for 4 years and the Viola for 3.  He's happy, agreeable and basically easy going as long as you feed him.

And last, but not least is Meagan.  She's 12 years old and my youngest.  She plays the flute in school, takes advanced classes and wants to be a large animal veterinarian when she grows up.  She's very independent except when it comes to me and I have nick named her "my little velcro".

So that's us in a nutshell.  Their dad and I are divorced and they go see him frequently on weekends and holidays.  We have two horses, two bearded dragon lizards, a dog, a cat and a rabbit so far. We're thinking about adding goats and chickens but...we'll see.

I am new to blogging and hope to learn to write interesting stuff and have fun too.  On this blog I have book reviews, movie reviews, a bible study journal, poems my mom wrote, daily family life and just about anything of interest to me.  Haven't found my forte yet but I suppose it will come eventually.  In the mean time just having fun with it.  I hope that you find the content interesting and informative and appreciate any feedback you may offer.... Happy Reading!
